More Choice, Less Government
Over the last several years, we have seen numerous small businesses close their doors because of overregulation and favoritism toward big companies. During the Pandemic, mom and pop businesses were forced to close while Home Depot’s, Lowe’s, Walmart’s, and Target’s of the world were allowed to remain open. Millions of New Yorker’s were told that they were “unessential”. In today’s economy, there are no “unessential” workers. Every employee is essential to the economy. The current government is trying to take away your right to property by removing the authority of your local town and village zoning boards, and giving that power to the State. The Democrats are telling us that while the price of gas is skyrocketing, they still believe that we need to eliminate gas and oil. The Democrats are telling us, that we will not be allowed to heat OUR own home with oil, gas, or even wood in the very near future. The Democrats want to track every transaction that goes through your bank account with an amount of $600.00 or more. All while they add new taxes everyday, such as the Congestion Tax if you commute between certain block in NYC.
The current criminal justice system is in need of an overhaul, not the kind the Democrats offered though. People accused of breaking the law should always be treated as innocent until proven guilty, a concept that has been lost in recent years. They should not be waiting years for a trial to determine their innocence. However, having a revolving door policy is completely unacceptable. Having worked in the court system, I have firsthand knowledge of seeing previously convicted criminals be brought in on a violent crime and then released only to go out and commit another crime. It is not safe for our communities. There has also been an enormous amount of cases of criminals being charged with stealing, released, stealing again, being released again and so on. That is detrimental to our local businesses as well. Many of them do not have the ability to replace thousands of dollars of stolen goods, especially when their shelves are empty due to self-induced supply chain shortages.
We also need to support our police. As a former Court Officer, I know the types of pressure our law enforcement officers face each and every day. They are the backbone of law and order and we need to allow them to do their job. It is imperative that we support them and work with both law enforcement and the local communities to start to rebuild trust in each other.
It is due to these two issues that many of us do not feel safe walking down our once bustling communities. We can no longer allow the State to remove Choice from those who protect us. The time to save our communities is now.
The mandates that the State forced upon its citizens were illegal. As a person who lost their job solely on the basis that I did not want to inject my body with something that has not been fully approved, I am outraged. No individual’s means of living should be determined based solely on one’s vaccination status. As a result of this tyrannical action, my family and many others like me have had our livelihoods snatched from us, and without any recourse. Many of us were not even given the right of due process. Then they took it a step further. Our kids were forced to wear masks and be isolated. As a father of a child in grade school, I saw how it affected my daughter’s ability to read, speak, and socialize.
Unfortunately, it does not end there. Many of them are still pushing to vaccinate our children, even as more and more information comes out about the lack of effectiveness of the “vaccine” and the increased side effects. In addition, many Democrats have been proposing ideas such that a nurse at the school could vaccinate our children without parental consent or with verbal consent.
If that wasn’t enough, Governor Hochul has continued to extend her “Emergency powers” again and again. These are the same powers that were stricken from Andrew Cuomo because many feared he went too far. Add to that, the fact that our personal medical histories are no longer private.
How much more information about your private lives are you willing to give up? Enough is enough. The time has come for us to stand tall and restore Freedom to this state. We must make the Statue of Liberty our symbol of Liberty once again.
